The Social: Fall Beauty Trends

Summer may be over, and even though your tan lines are fading, your makeup is about to get a whole lot more exciting. The trends this year include looks that you might've seen before, but they're now jam packed with attitude.

Pink All Over

Pink is such a soft, feminine colour. When you apply it to your eyes, cheeks and lips it gives off an ethereal look to the face. What's amazing about this trend is that anyone can wear pink allover. When worn correctly, it’s almost undetectable on the skin. It’s another twist on the “no-makeup makeup” but with a little pop of colour.

It also makes an easy daytime look, as there’s nothing too strong or overpowering about it. Using the same toned product in the morning can get you out of the door in a hurry!

Using the Bite Beauty Multistick in Lotus, dab the product onto cheeks, eyes and lips.

Metallic Eyes

Metallic eyes make a statement. This isn’t your everyday smoky eye, the metallic sheen and singular tone gives a unique twist for the fall season. This look is best suited for anyone who enjoys enhancing their eyes. If you’re a fan of the traditional bold eye, this look is guaranteed to be your new go-to.

During the day, keep the metallic tones closer to the lash line. In the evening, feel free to blend all the way up to the brow bone.

Pack the product, we'd recommend Charlotte Tilbury's Eyes to Mesmerize, onto your finger or a brush and sweep onto the lid.

Blurred Berry Lip

This trend is an effortless twist on the classic bold lip for fall. By ditching the lip liner and having a blurred edge, it gives the illusion that you could’ve just been kissing someone, which can be an extremely sexy look. This look suits everyone, even those who are intimidated by a dark colour. The trend gives a wash of colour to the lips, so it’s not too intense.

Keeping a simple eye and having the focus be on the lips is a beautiful daytime look, and in the evening, add a thin winged liner.

Use your finger or apply straight from the bullet, blending edges to create the blurred effect. Try Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleu.
